What is a homeschool mom to do when she unexpectedly gets a little bundle of joy to babysit all day? Cancel all bookwork and schedule in some life-learning in the area of "child development". That's justifiable, right? :)

Of course it's justifiable. It's good for the kids to have a baby around to appreciate your full attention all the other days!
ABsolutely! I bet the girls had fun playing "momma" for the day too.
I'll bet the girls had fun taking care of a baby for a day. They look like they were ready to do some real life learning.

Some of my high schoolers have to carry around a doll for home ec that cries when it wants something...if they can do that, then certainly you can use a real baby and call it home ec. :)
